Great American Knitting Mills To Acquire Ridgeview Assets Ridgeview Inc., Newton, N.C., entered
into a letter of intent with Great American Knitting Mills Inc., Burlington, N.C., to sell certain
assets, including the Ridgeview name and other trademarks.According to Hugh Gaither, president and
CEO, Ridgeview, the company intends to continue in the sport sock business and hopes that the
proposed transaction will provide the necessary resources to build the brand going forward.The
transaction provides an opportunity for our Ridgeview sport sock business to continue in the
marketplace, said Gaither.
