Italy-based Reggiani Macchine S.p.A., a global developer, manufacturer and service provider of
textile printing machines, has added Wilmington, Del.-based DuPont’s DuPont™ Artistri® P2100 series
pigment inks to its list of inks approved for use with its DReAM brand of digital textile printing
systems.
Reggiani’s DReAM is a roll-to-roll and roll-to-folder industrial digital machine used for
printing on textiles such as knitted, woven and nonwoven fabrics and carpet, as well as on leather.
According to the company, the DReAM machine achieves printing speeds of up to 230 square meters per
hour at 600 dots per inch. It is specifically created for medium runs and accelerated times to
market at a low printing cost.
“The availability of the advanced Artistri pigment inks completes our offer, truly building
on the Reggiani spirit and reputation,” said Dr. Ambrogio Caccia Dominioni, Reggiani’s owner. “
These inks are an exciting and valued new capability which makes it possible to be innovative while
continuing our historic commitment to quality to our customers.”
According to DuPont, Artistri pigmented inks deliver full production-quality crockfastness
upon drying and good washfastness after post-heating in an oven or from calendaring. Fabric
pretreatment is not required, and the inks offer reliable performance in continuous operation.
