RALEIGH, N.C. — November 29, 2010 — Students from North Carolina State University College of
Textiles will showcase 12 senior designers’ collections in the “Threads: Senior Collection 2010”
fashion show. The designers will showcase their final projects before graduation and illustrate
their talents and learned skills throughout their years at the College of Textiles. The event will
be held on Thursday, December 2, at 7:00 p.m. on “The Square” adjacent to the College of Textiles
on NC State’s Centennial Campus.
The seniors highlighting their work in this event are part of the Fashion and Textile
Management Program at the College of Textiles and the students plan and execute all aspects of the
event and strive to create a show that highlights their accomplishments in their field of study.
The faculty advisors Dr. Cindy Istook, professor of fashion and design technology, Nancy Webster,
adjunct professor of fashion and textile design, and Anthony Wilson, doctoral student in Textile
Technology Management, have aided the students in the development of their designs, organizations
of the collections and planning of the show. Webster brings over 30 years of industry experience
with companies such as Target Corporation, Thomasville Furniture, Springs Industries, and
Fieldcrest Cannon. Wilson has owned his own design firm since 2001.
Media are invited to attend the event. “The Square” at the College of Textiles is located on
the corner of Main Campus Drive and Campus Shore Drive on Centennial Campus. Parking is available
in any of the adjacent lots. Seats are $15 for the public and $10 for students. Tickets can be
